چکیده
The objective of this project was to evaluate the yield response different winter wheat varieties fungicide management treatments during 2019–2020 growing season in Kansas. Fourteen were evaluated under four (no fungicide, application either at jointing, heading, or both stages) five locations across Kansas a split-plot design. Disease incidence assessed approximately 20-d after each application. Septoria blotch and tan spot most prevalent early-season diseases studied fields, while stripe rust, leaf prevailed late season. Late-season had greater effect on grain when compared diseases. While responded differently management, there an overall increase 1.8 bushels per acre resulting from jointing application; 3.3 bu/a heading fungicide; 4.3 combination applications. Overall, susceptible with intermediate high levels genetic resistance. drought heat stress affected three out (Belleville, Conway Springs, Hutchinson planted late), less than other two (Ashland Bottoms optimal timing). Although some similarities, ranking highest yielding not uniform locations. Our preliminary data suggest that might be advantageous, but degree benefit will depend upon environment variety.
